Meet Lawrence Almagno

Priorities

Priority 1

Make Rhode Island Affordable for Families

Lawrence has built his career evening the odds between everyday Rhode Islanders and powerful corporations, and he'll take that fight to the State House. Families are being squeezed by utility bills, taxes, and the rising cost of living, and he's focused on the causes, not slogans.

He'll work to lower electricity bills by ending wasteful special-interest mandates, freeze property taxes for seniors, and end state taxes on pensions, Social Security, and retirement income. He'll also push to cut wasteful spending, make state government more accountable, and lighten the tax load on working families and small businesses.

Priority 2

Small Business & Economic Growth

As a small business owner, Lawrence has seen up close how government waste and one-party rule hold Rhode Island back. He'll push for a real plan so the AI transition creates jobs rather than eliminating them, cut bureaucratic red tape, and back the local businesses that keep West Warwick and Coventry working.

Priority 3

Fix Our Infrastructure & Keep Doctors Here

Crumbling roads, bridges, and school buildings push families and businesses out of Rhode Island. Lawrence will prioritize repairing that foundation, cutting red tape, and holding politicians accountable for results.

He'll also protect local healthcare. Doctors here are paid 25–30% less than in neighboring Massachusetts and Connecticut, and many are leaving. Lawrence will vote to close that gap so our physicians stay in Rhode Island.
